3/13/2021MINISTER OF MES RK VISITED THE INNOVATIVE EXHIBITION KAZNU
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was visited by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov. He got acquainted with the activities of the university and visited the exhibition of IT startups and innovative projects dedicated to the achievements of young scientists. Scientific research, technical achievements and new expositions of the faculties of mechanics and mathematics, chemistry and chemical technology, biology and biotechnology were presented to the attention of the minister.
One of the exhibited startup projects - "AlfaSat" - was developed by the science and technology park of KazNU al-Farabi. This is a small artificial satellite of the Earth CubeSat. According to the developers, the satellite can be launched up to 30 km using a special balloon filled with gas. You can connect a camera or photo camera to it, shoot the desired area, determine the purity of the air. It is also very handy for students who make a land registry map. After transmitting all the data from the satellite, the balloon explodes and the parachute opens. The satellite's geolocation is sent to the user's smartphone.
It should be noted that the goal of the long-term project of the AlfaSat team is to create a national scientific school for the development of space technology and technology. At the moment, the team has successfully launched the al-Farabi-1 and al-Farabi-2 nanosatellites. Working in such projects, students acquire skills in designing and assembling nanosatellites and their components, developing technical documentation, planning a budget, which in the future will allow them to become full-fledged specialists in this field.
The development of young scientists and chemists also attracted attention at the exhibition. They talked about research work in the laboratory of the faculty, where new technologies are being tested for converting solar and water energy into hydrogen. “These designs use bulbs that replace solar energy. Upon achieving the desired result for the production of hydrogen, conditions will be created in the southern regions of Kazakhstan. Hydrogen generated by new technologies can be used in the future instead of gasoline, stored and poured in the required amount, ”said the project manager, Phd Doctor Batukhan Tatykaev. Three doctoral students and six undergraduates of KazNU are working on the project.
In the opinion of the developers, the hydrogen they create will in the future become an alternative product for replacing oil, which will help solve the problem of not endless natural resources.
Physicists presented to the guests several innovative developments, ready for implementation in the market of Kazakhstan. One of the products is a double-ended fluorescent gas-discharge lamp with increased luminous intensity, made by adding nanoparticles to the volume of the gas discharge (into the plasma). Such energy-saving gas-discharge lamps with increased luminous intensity have a low cost price with their own production line, high luminous efficiency, which is three times higher than that of incandescent lamps. At the same time, energy consumption is up to seven times lower and an increase in the luminescence intensity by more than one and a half times, with the addition of nanoparticles in comparison with fluorescent lamps.
Ready for use and implementation in institutions of secondary and secondary vocational education is a laboratory installation for the study of electromagnetic phenomena for secondary schools. An innovative hardware and software complex that uses information technology in the process of teaching a physics course has versatility and ease of use and transportation, does not require a power source.
Separately, projects were presented to find effective solutions to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic and overcome its consequences. The results of studies of a predictive assessment of the situation on COVID-19 in Kazakhstan are shown, predictive models of a short-term, medium-term and long-term scenario of the spread of the epidemic are compiled.
In the IT field, the Tracer Cov / Kz mobile application is presented, which helps to track the symptoms of COVID-19 in the form of daily records for the purpose of early warning of seeking medical help, thereby helping everyone to take care of and monitor their health.
Biologists and chemists showed their developments based on plant components. Among them are antiseptics with extracts of chamomile and wormwood Zhusan, intended for the prevention of the Covid viral infection. And also various natural multi-additives based on isolated new natural compounds from plant raw materials of Kazakhstan, which have not only antiviral properties, but also used to maintain hormonal balance, regulate the reproductive, endocrine and nervous systems of a person.
Rector of the University Zh. Tuimebayev noted that projects and innovative technologies created by young scientists are currently tested and ready for commercialization.
In turn, the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov expressed confidence that young people will achieve great success in the scientific world and instructed to increase the number of innovative developments that will contribute to raising the level of the country's economy.
