COMPETITION OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS ENDED
4/12/2021At the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists "Farabi Alemi" and a competition for the best student innovation projects within the framework of student business incubators of KazNU were held in an online format. The events are dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The largest conference of students and young scientists included plenary sessions and the work of 120 sections at the faculties of the university. More than 3400 students, undergraduates, doctoral students and young scientists from universities, institutes and research centers of the republic took an active part in the conference, of which 437 participants were from other universities in Kazakhstan and 108 from foreign countries and CIS countries (China, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Korea).
Regardless of the distance format, the plenary sessions of the conference at each faculty were productive and rich. Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Doctor of Philology, Professor Bayan Dzholdasbekova congratulated all the participants on a large-scale and significant event, noting that this year the conference "Farabi Alemi" is timed to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"The international conference of students and young scientists" Farabi Alemi "is a unique platform for the presentation of their scientific achievements by young scientists and students, where they can develop their professional competencies, listening to the expert opinions of the jury and commission," said the dean of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management , professor V.G. Salnikov.
Within the framework of the conference, reports of a theoretical, experimental and applied nature on various branches of science were considered.
As a result of the conference, 48 students were awarded with rector's diplomas and cash prizes. Honorary I place was awarded to 16 winners with a reward of 75,000 tenge, II place (16 winners) - 50,000 tenge, III place (16 winners) - 30,000 tenge.
“Participation in the scientific conference“ Farabi Alemi ”for us, students, doctoral students, young scientists is both a great responsibility and a rare success, because we are provided with a platform for discussing the results of our research and discussions, we communicate with scientists, receive their feedback, learn a lot new and useful for development, as well as presenting our research ", - said the winner of the 1st degree diploma of the conference Gaukhar Aydarkhanova.
Zhandos Mukaliev, holder of the III degree diploma, noted that the conference "Farabi Alemi" is one of the unique platforms where students and young scientists can demonstrate their scientific research and exchange experience.
“Nowadays it is very important that young scientists embark on the path of science and make discoveries. Revealing the potential of students is one of the most important tasks of the scientific conference "Farabi Alemi". I think this kind of scientific conferences will contribute to the development of science, ”said Ahmet Kamshybek, a second-year student of the Faculty of Philology, who took second place in the competition for innovative projects of student business incubators.
The annual competition for the best student innovative projects within the framework of the international scientific conference "Farabi Alemi" clearly demonstrated the research and creative potential of youth. The authoritative jury considered about 60 works of the participants. According to the results of the online audition, based on the decision of the competition committee, the authors of nine projects were recognized as winners.
The first place was awarded to D.M. Demeubaeva for the project "Development of an algorithm for the diagnosis of IgA nephropathy in children." The second place was taken by students of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, the Faculties of Philosophy and Political Science, and Information Technology. The third place was awarded to students of the faculties of philology, biology and biotechnology, journalism, medicine and health care and pre-university education.
The winner of the best innovative project, 2nd year undergraduate of the specialty "Medicine" of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Dinara Demeubaeva presented a new model of the diagnostic algorithm using Omix technologies for the early detection of IgA nephropathy in children, the advantage of which is non-invasiveness. At the same time, the economic effect exceeds the costs of patients six times.
“The relevance of the work lies in the fact that IgA nephropathy in children is detected at late stages, and currently there are no criteria for early diagnosis in order to timely conduct targeted therapy. The progression of the disease can last for decades, with the development of chronic renal failure by the age of 25-30 and lead to the death of the patient. The new method will make it possible to introduce this analysis into practical health care in all patients with the presence of blood elements and protein in the urine already in the early stages to exclude IgA nephropathy, ”Dinara Demeubaeva said.
Thus, the new diagnostic algorithm developed by young scientists of KazNU has a clinical, economic and social effect, reducing the budgetary costs of biopsy and improving the quality of life of the population.
Congratulations to the winners of the competition and wish you further success in the implementation of your ideas!
