KazNU scientists have invented an unusual lamp
4/21/2021ALMATY. April 21 – Scientists from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University have developed an unusual lamp. The main advantages of the innovative product are low market value, the lighting power is three times stronger than that of a conventional lamp.
An unusual lamp was created at the Scientific Research Institute of Experimental and Theoretical Physics at KazNU.
According to scientists, there are no significant changes in the lamp manufacturing technology. The main thing is to adhere to the priority of economical use of energy and rational and efficient use of resources.
– The main feature of this innovative production is the technology of adding nanoparticles, which improve the technical characteristics of fluorescent lamps. It does not require large expenditures and has no analogues in Kazakhstan. The main know-how and novelty of our product lies in this. Models of energy-saving lamps have successfully passed all tests and received special certificates, – says one of the authors of the project, Merlan Dosbolaev.
Today, the Research Institute of Experimental and Theoretical Physics of the University is capable of producing up to three thousand lamps a year. The shapes and models of the lamps are also varied. According to scientists' forecasts, when a new product is produced, about 200 thousand pieces per year could be delivered to the consumer market.
– High quality, low market value of products and the presence of an innovative component increase its competitiveness, – the authors of the project note.
One of the authors of the idea is a postdoctoral student of KazNU and a senior researcher at the Institute Sagi Orazbayev. He closely cooperates with scientists from many leading research centers in France, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Russia, Belarus. More than 100 of his scientific works have been published in foreign publications. He also holds four innovative patents and one Eurasian patent. Sagi Orazbayev completed a scientific internship at the Polytechnic University of Orleans in France. The applicant is the owner of the DA Kunaev prize for young scientists for the best work in the field of natural sciences, a scientific scholarship for talented young Scientists and the diploma "The best young scientist of KazNU". He is also the winner of several best projects.
Another of the co-authors of the unique invention is Dr. PhD Almasbek Utegenov. He completed scientific internships at the Hungarian Wigner Academy and the Kyoto Institute of Technology in Japan. Repeatedly presented reports at prestigious international conferences. He is the owner of the D.A.Kunaev prize for young scientists and a scientific scholarship for talented young scientists, the author of several patents for inventions.
It should be noted that the Research Institute of Experimental and Theoretical Physics, which has produced a unique lamp, conducts scientific and technical research in various fields of physics. Employees of the institute, having extensive experience in performing research and development work, are the authors of more than 500 patents and copyright certificates. The Institute constantly occupies a leading position in publications, fundamental and applied research in the field of natural sciences.
