Forum of young journalists

There is a special event in which journalism turns from a childhood dream into a professional goal and which young people are eagerly awaiting. Every year, on the last days of April, an event has been held that unites young journalists and allows them to evaluate their creative potential. This is the Forum of Young Journalists of the Faculty of Journalism.

This year the event fulfilled its mission for the sixth time and the best creative works were awarded at the Forum of Young Journalists. More than a hundred works were submitted to participate in the competition for the best creative works among schoolchildren. According to the results of "Eñ üzdık jas tılşı - 2020", the young correspondent of the newspaper "Ulan" Aisulu Sezkhan was awarded. Also, at the end of the year, Aisulu will choose the owner of the main prize-winner "Eñ üzdık jas tılşı - 2021", will award the winner.

At the opening of the forum, the editor-in-chief of the republican children's and youth newspaper "Ulan" Zhadyra Narmakhanova spoke about the process from choosing a topic, preparing material to a newspaper workshop.

The chief editor of the republican children's and youth magazine "Akzhelken" Yessey Zhenisuly spoke about the school of young journalists.

For young journalists, the home is, of course, the school. The director of the republican boarding school named after Abai for talented children with in-depth study of the Kazakh language and literature, Roza Seksenova wished good luck to the young journalists.

Where should young journalists start, what questions should they look for answers? These and other problems were noted by PhD, Professor of the Design Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Slovakia Vladimir Bachishin, Professor of Columbia University Gulmira Kendirbay and other prominent representatives of scientific media.

Director of BAQ Media Group LLP, TV presenter Maksat Tolykbai told young journalists about honesty and integrity in journalism. Correspondent of the Kazakh edition of "Azattyq Radiosy", a reporter of the International Olympic Committee, a young journalist "Ulan" Ruslan Medelbek, in turn, spoke about the requirements for international reporters and shared useful advice.

Well-known blogger Yakov Fedorov shared his experience in conducting research and noted the importance of travel and business trips for a journalist.

Qazaq radiosy announcer Mohamed Ali Bolatuly spoke about the power and creative potential of radio for a journalist.

The Forum of Young Journalists has a half-century history and is full of various traditions. The first republican meeting of young journalists was organized and held in May 1975 by the Central Committee of the Komsomol. At that time, K. Sultanov was the head of the propaganda department of the Central Committee of the Party of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the origins of this event were such famous poets and writers as O. Suleimenov, F. Ongarsynova, D. Stambekov, Sh. Smakhanuly. For the last twenty years the Forum of Young Journalists has been held in a new, modern format.

Among our well-known young journalists: Kanat Auesbay, Ruslan Medelbek, Doszhan Balabekuly, Alpamys Fayzolla, Duman Smakov, Akbota Musabek, Aizada Zhaiykkyzy, Zhadyra Akkayir, Akniet Amanzholkyzy, Tokerke Sandibek, Nazerke Dzhaylauzhana, Almabek Ibraimov, Nazym Saparova and others.

“I am infinitely grateful to the newspaper “Ulan”! The children's edition brought us into adulthood, gave us the opportunity to study at KazNU. Therefore, “Ulan” has a special meaning for me! - wrote a young journalist, PhD scientist of the Department of Philosophy Doszhan Balabekuly.

Aisulu Sezkhan, a young correspondent for the "Ulan" newspaper: "I want to say to young journalists: always be on the lookout, read and write."

“The forum was held at a high level. Childhood passion for journalism has now developed into a creative search on a professional path. My next goal is to try my hand at the competition "Uzdik zhas tilshi-2021", - said Aybek Berikboluly, a young journalist, 11th grade student of Zhakaev secondary school No.244 named after Zhakaev, Shieli district, Kyzylorda region.

The choice of the winners of the Forum of Young Journalists, with a deep history, an adherent of classical traditions, full of innovative ideas, is journalism.
