DEMANDED SPECIALISTS WILL BE PREPARED TOGETHER

Today the meeting of the Chairman of the Board - Rector of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebayev with the general director of the KazMunayGas-Engineering Institute Bakytzhan Khasanov and adviser Dzhaksybek Kulekeyev took place.

During the meeting, issues of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of modern education and science were discussed. Bakytzhan Khasanov spoke about the activities of the institute, which is the largest scientific and technical subdivision of the National Company "KazMunayGas", and also presented a project of the modern information system "ABAI". According to him, the development of a modern system covering all aspects of society, in addition to meeting the needs of the national company, creates an infrastructure for state needs.

The general director of the institute proposed, together with KazNU, to train specialists for the implementation of the current direction of the ABAI project. In particular, there is a shortage of specialists in the field of information technology, computer technology, control automation, applied mathematics, and computer science. Having created a group of undergraduate students, Bakytzhan Kenesovich emphasized the need for in-depth and comprehensive training of students in specific areas.

In turn, the head of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev stressed that the training of competitive specialists is one of the important tasks set by the President. Today the university has significant potential for solving national and international strategic tasks. Scientists of the classical multidisciplinary university, combining education, science and innovation, actively work not only in Kazakhstan, but also participate in large international projects. The rector said that the fundamental university is being transformed into a research university and noted the great potential of cooperation between the two parties in the field of science.

In his speech, economist-expert Dzhaksybek Kulekeyev highlighted the experience of fruitful cooperation with the departments of KazNU. “We have achieved very good practical results with the Institute of Combustion Problems under the leadership of Zulkhair Mansurov. Our oil spill response results were presented not only to Kazakhstan, but also to the largest oil and gas companies in the world, ”he said. Representatives of the institute also showed great interest in the leading innovative projects of KazNU scientists.

Representatives of the institute visited the KazNU technopark and showed great interest in the advanced innovative projects of scientists in the field of remote sensing of the earth, oil products, nanosatellites Al-Farabi-1 and Al-Farabi-2.

During the meeting, they also discussed ways to achieve applied research, noted a wide range and great opportunities for scientific cooperation.
