Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has launched an international summer school in Arabic on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Young people from Arab countries such as Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia are taking part in the summer school, which is called "History, culture and traditions of the Kazakh people."
Summer School is an international media dialogue platform between students, teachers and scientists. It is widely used in all universities around the world and is an effective way to obtain the necessary academic qualifications.
The main purpose of the event, organized by the Faculty of Oriental Studies, is to introduce and promote the history, culture and traditions of the Kazakh people to the Arab world, with exchanging experiences and opinions. At the same time, such events will increase cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Arab countries in the fields of education, science and culture, as well as establish contacts for joint research and implementation of important meetings.
During the summer school, which will last until June 23, lectures will be given on the following topics: "Review of the history of medieval Kazakhstan", "The Great Silk Road and the culture of the medieval city", "Scientists of Central Asia in the Middle Ages", "Yurt - the heritage of national culture”, “Kazakh traditions and customs”,“ Nature and historical places of Kazakhstan”.
