JOINT SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

9/17/2021

New classrooms, laboratories and centers have opened in Kazakhstani universities. They have already begun to conduct joint research with universities in Japan, Latvia, Estonia, Russia and Belarus. Also, universities subordinated to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan updated the material and technical base and purchased new equipment for teaching students. For example, at the Eurasian National University named after I. L.N. Gumilyov, new laboratories were opened for training specialists in the field of chemistry and physics. It is in them that joint research with foreign universities is carried out. Classrooms are equipped with nanotechnology for scientific work and research, such as radiation resistance of materials, quantum-chemical modeling. “On behalf of the Minister of Education and Science A. Aimagambetov, we now place a special emphasis on practical training.

The opening of modern scientific laboratories will improve the quality of training of young scientists and will make it possible to carry out research work of an applied and theoretical nature. Today, university scientists are conducting joint research with universities such as Tohoku (Japan), the Latvian Institute of Solid State Physics, the Institute of Physics of the University of Tartu (Estonia), the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (RF), Tomsk Polytechnic University (RF), Belarusian State University ", - said the chairman of the board-rector of ENU Yerlan Sydykov. Also, a coworking center for students was opened at ENU. The work on its design was entrusted to the students themselves. And now they can spend their free time there, read books, discuss projects, etc.

In the near future, the university plans to open the same coworking centers in other buildings. New educational centers have also appeared within the walls of the D. Serikbayev All-Union State Technical University. The center of competence and technology transfer in the field of water management and water use is one of the few in Kazakhstan. It consists of laboratories for hydraulics, hydrochemistry, integrated water management, heating and ventilation. The employees of the center have developed an automated heating unit and installed it in the educational buildings of the university. Thanks to this development, the university was able to reduce the consumption of thermal energy up to 20%. “In this difficult time for us, the time of pandemic and quarantine, we did not sit idly by.

The walls of our university have undergone a huge upgrade. We opened new centers of competence and transfer in areas, created the Center for Health and Sports, updated the book storage, opened a hall of fiction. The goal of the Physics Center is to organize and conduct laboratory workshops in physics in order to create a practice-oriented environment for the student. Serious repair work was carried out, the necessary modern equipment was purchased. We have set ourselves the task of strengthening training in physical and mathematical sciences, which occupy a leading position in the labor market, "said the chairman of the board of NJSC VKTU named after D. Serikbayev "Zhasulan Shaimardanov. Al-Farabi opened multimedia auditoriums and the Center for Engineering Design.

They are equipped with technologies that will allow students to create new projects in the field of digitalization and automation. “To improve the level of teaching and update the learning process, we need to introduce new technologies. Multimedia classrooms equipped with interactive technologies will increase interest in the educational process and shift the emphasis on practical rather than theoretical knowledge, ”said Zhanseit Tuimebayev, chairman of the board-rector of KazNU. Altynsarin, the Center for Information Technologies was opened.

It is equipped with modern construction kits, a set of robot tracks, a 3D printer and other technologies. The center conducts practical classes on the basics of robotics, algorithmization and programming. Thus, the university is working to improve the digital knowledge of students. Sh.Ualikhanov purchased software for working with video data. With the help of the equipment, teachers observe the training online. Also, the university opened rooms for early development and inclusive education. The classrooms are equipped with multimedia equipment and new teaching materials, manuals developed by the university teachers.
