KAZNU EXPANDS COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF ETHNOPOLITICAL RESEARCH

Deans and heads of departments of the socio-humanitarian direction of KazNU met with representatives of the Secretariat of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Institute of Applied Ethnopolitical Research in an online format, discussing the main approaches to the formation of research groups and the implementation of joint scientific projects.

During the meeting, Deputy Head of the SANK of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Abdakasov and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Al-Farabi KazNU Fatima Zhakypov made a welcoming speech, noting the relevance of cooperation in the field of research of interethnic relations.

Director of the Institute of Applied Ethnopolitical Research Talgat Kaliyev acquainted with the activities of the Institute, spoke about the applied research on the problems of preventing interethnic conflicts in the country.

Deputy Director of the Institute of Applied Ethnopolitical Research Aigul Sadvakasova assessed the prospects of studying the issues of ethnology, ethnolinguistics, ethnopolitics, conflictology, interethnic relations and ethno-confessional relations.

In their speeches, the meeting participants focused on the need to develop new scientific projects aimed at strengthening interethnic and interfaith harmony, stability in society. In today's conditions, further study of world trends in the development of interethnic relations is necessary.

Within the framework of the meeting, topics for doctoral and master's theses in the field of ethnopolitics were proposed. In the future, the results of these studies will contribute to the further improvement of state policy in the field of interethnic relations.

As a result of the meeting, experts from the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and the Institute of Ethnopolitical Research were invited to jointly develop and update the educational programs of the university. In addition, specific steps have been identified for the implementation of mutually beneficial collaboration of the scientific and expert community.
