DEEPER INTERACTION WITH RUSSIAN UNIVERSITIES

A delegation of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia visited Al-Farabi KazNU. In the course of bilateral negotiations led by acting Vice-Rector for Operations of KazNU Kanatbek Mukanov and Vice-Rector for International Affairs of RUDN University Larisa Efremova, the parties noted the high level of interaction in the scientific and educational sphere and expressed their readiness to build up the potential of bilateral cooperation.

To date, KazNU has signed over 150 agreements with leading universities, institutes and centers of the Russian Federation.

The implemented joint double-degree educational master's programs within the framework of the CIS Network University and the SCO Network University allowed the parties to open new areas of study.

Today, two agreements were signed on the joint training of masters in economics in the specialization "International logistics" in the framework of the CIS SU, and in the specialization "Accounting, internal control and audit" in the framework of the SCO.

Vice-rector L. Efremova expressed gratitude for the support of the initiatives and noted the high achievements of KazNU in research activities and promotion in the QS rating. Emphasizing the high level of training of KazNU students participating in the Leaders in Education Winter School, Larisa Efremova highlighted the importance of expanding the academic mobility of teaching staff and students from KazNU.

During the official visit of RUDN University representatives, fruitful working meetings were held with the heads of the departments of Ecology, Accounting and Auditing, Business Technologies and Pedagogy.

KazNU named after Al-Farabi is the leading university in three areas of the SCO: ecology, nanotechnology and regional studies. As part of the CIS SU, the university launched 9 educational programs with RUDN University.
