FESTIVAL "ZHYR ALYBY - ZHAMBYL"

In the Palace of Students named after U. Zholdasbekov of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, a gala concert of the Republican festival "Zhyr alyby - Zhambyl" was held. The new festival dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Zhambyl brought together talented representatives of the domestic hip-hop industry.

The purpose of the festival was to promote the heritage of Zhambyl, support young talents, and strengthen creative ties between the regions of the country.

Young participants in the evening were selected using social networks Instagram, YouTube, Facebook. The multinational cast of performers included representatives of ethnocultural associations of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan: Russian, Belarusian, Uzbek, Uighur and other ethnic groups. Talented artists performed rap and songs in the Kazakh language of different styles. Inspired by the legacy of Zhambyl, they displayed outstanding artistic skills and vocal abilities.

The participants, who came to the festival from all over the country, admitted that they received a lot of vivid impressions and great experience. One of them - Denis Yakovlev from Kostanay - sang Zhambyl's song "Ugai-ai" on a dombra. “At the time of Zhambyl, aitys was widespread among akyns, and now young people have transformed this genre into a rap battle. The festival demonstrated a new attitude of the younger generation to the works of Zhambyl, ”said Denis.
