12/15/2021

Al-Farabi KazNU once again confirmed its high competitiveness and rose in the ranking of the best universities in developing countries of Europe and Central Asia QS EECA (Emerging Europe & Central Asia) from 19th place to 16th position.

This high recognition of the world academic community confirms the global competitiveness of the university. The QS University Rankings: Developing Europe and Central Asia (EECA) has been published regularly since 2009, summarizing information on the development of the leading universities in the macroregion. This rating was carried out among 450 universities in Eastern and Central Europe, the CIS and the Baltic States, which is 50 more than last year, despite the global difficulties in the field of higher education around the world caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Each member of the thousands of KazNU staff contributes to the promotion of the university in world rankings. Actively integrating into the global scientific and educational community, KazNU is doing a lot to bring the university indicators to the international standards of the world's leading universities.

The international team of compilers of the QS EECA 2022 ranking offers an expanded range of criteria for the activities of higher education institutions for ranking universities. The most important among them are: the scientific productivity of the university; academic reputation and employer assessment, which are based on an international survey of the academic environment and potential employers.

Also, experts pay great attention to the share of employees with a scientific degree, scientific citation of publications and the effectiveness of the university's Internet resources, the share of foreign students and foreign teaching staff.

On the eve of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of independence, we congratulate the collective of Al-Farabi KazNU on high achievements at the world level and wish new achievements!
