50 BEST KAZAKHSTAN SCIENTISTS RECEIVED AWARDS OF 6 MILLION TENGE
12/30/2021The results of the "Best Scientist" award in 2021 have been summed up. 50 scientists from research institutes and universities became the winners. Each of them will receive a certificate and an award in the amount of 2000 MCI, that is, 5 million 834 thousand tenge.
The President of the country K.K. Tokayev pays special attention to the support of scientists. So, on behalf of the Head of State, this year almost 500 scientists were awarded scholarships for scientific internships, in addition, 1000 grants were allocated to young scientists for postdoctoral studies. Another measure of support for scientists by the President was the establishment of the annual award "Best Scientist". It is aimed at supporting and encouraging scientists and researchers who have made a significant contribution to the development of science and technology.
“On behalf of the Head of State, the Ministry of Education and Science focuses on issues of comprehensive support for scientists and employees of scientific organizations, organizations of higher and postgraduate education. And this year, the Ministry for the first time established awards for the best scientists in the country. Applications for participation in the competition were accepted through an information system that was created specifically for this competition and automatically counted points according to eight criteria. This ensured the transparency and transparency of the competition. The criteria for evaluating scientific achievements have been developed together with the scientific and expert community. All participants in the competition could see their points already at the application stage. They were considered by the commission and checked by expert groups in sections for the compliance of the submitted documents with the approved criteria. Leading scientists, independent experts, representatives of state bodies, members of the Council of Young Scientists and the Alliance of Young Scientists worked as part of the commission and expert groups, ”said Zhanna Kurmangaliyeva, Chair of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In total, 575 applications were received for participation in the competition in 7 directions: "Natural Sciences", "Engineering and Technology", "Medicine and Health Care", "Social and Human Sciences", "Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences", "Military Sciences and National Security" ... As a result, the commission decided to award the "Best Scientist - 2021" prize to 50 scientists from 6 research institutes and 16 universities.
Among them is a professor at the Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumilyova Rakhmetkazhy Bersimbay, professor of Nazarbayev University Zhumabay Bakenov, head of the branch of the Institute of Nuclear Physics Maksim Zdorovets, professor of the Karaganda Technical University Aristotle Isagulov, chairman of the board of the Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology Dilyara Kaidarova, professor of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Kairat Davletov, professor Agrarian University Kaisar Tabynov and others.
