Al-Farabi Kazakh National University rewarded employees who ensured security and law and order on the campus during the state of emergency in Almaty.
From January 5 to January 19, employees of the military department, the situational management center, the production support department and the campus of the university took a number of measures to improve security. Among them are the director of the campus Abdukahar Seitzhanov, the head of hostel No. 14 Gulmira Nurzhaeva, the deputy directors of the CSB Yernar Onalbekov and Rustem Tynysbekov, the head of the administrative and economic department of the department for production support Aubakir Balykbaev, as well as other 60 employees of KazNU.
As the head of the military department of KazNU, Colonel Oleg Azhimov, said, 32 reserve officers of the department, on the instructions of the rector, since January 5, have been serving together with the security officers of the university in buildings and campuses to prevent the penetration and attack of bandits and aggressive elements. “During the state of emergency, the center was not calm. Our employees were also on duty around the clock in the KazNU building, located on Masanchi Street,” O. Azhimov said.
In order to stimulate and encourage employees of the university, they were awarded the minimum wage.
Currently, the campus is under the supervision of video cameras, comprehensive measures are being taken to ensure the safety and security of students and university staff.
