Seven scientists of KazNU were awarded the prize "Best Research Fellow"

Seven scientists of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University were among the winners of the competition "Best Researcher - 2021", organized for the first time by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

50 scientists from 6 research institutes and 16 universities were recognized as “the best of the best”, and they were awarded a cash reward of 6 million tenge. The Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov presented badges and certificates to the laureates of the award in the capital.

Professor of the Department of Sociology and Social Work Gulnapis Abdikerova, who received a high award, shared her opinion about the event: “The first republican competition was held online with the participation of independent experts, was open and transparent. On behalf of the President of the country, it is aimed at a worthy assessment of the merits of scientists. I think that this project gives a great incentive to specialists in the social and public sphere to introduce the results of their research into practice and production.”

Lyazzat Spankulova, Associate Professor of the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism of the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management of KazNU, expressed her opinion. “Active cooperation between universities, research institutes and high-tech manufacturing companies contributes to the elimination of the stereotype about the unpreparedness of Kazakhstani science to provide high-quality applied results. It is necessary to create academic universities based on partnerships between research universities and research institutes. As a result, students will be able to implement specific projects on the basis of the Academy of Sciences,” the scientist noted.

The winners of the award included: Associate Professor of the Department of Theoretical and Nuclear Physics Kuantai Boshkaev, Professor of the Department of Plasma Physics and Computer Physics, Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Technology Askar Dauletov, Acting Professor of the Department of Mathematical and Computer Modeling Alibek Isakhov, Associate Professor of the Department Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Evidence-Based Medicine, Director of the Health Research Institute Kairat Davletov, Associate Professor of the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law Guldana Kuanalieva and others.

Associate Professor of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory Almasbek Maulenov was awarded the prize named after. Kultegin for outstanding achievements in the field of Turkic studies. The State Scientific Scholarship was awarded to Professor of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature, Dean of the Faculty of Philology Bayan Zholdasbekova and twelve young scientists of KazNU.
