PATRIOTISM - FORMATION OF PEACE AND WELFARE

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has been the largest center of higher education, science and innovation in Kazakhstan for 87 years since its foundation. On the eve of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KazNU named after Al-Farabi occupies a leading position not only among the universities of the country, but also at the international level.

Over the entire period of its existence, the university has made a huge contribution to the development of the socio-political and economic life of the state, becoming the main stronghold of the higher education system. To date, the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is distinguished by its high quality of education, international recognition, active research activities, the strongest faculty and gifted graduates.

At the Faculty of Law of KazNU, an online lecture was held on the topic: "The radicalization of modern society: myths and reality." The organizer of this event is the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law. The first and fourth year students of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi KazNU, students of the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Esbulatov, as well as teachers took an active part in this conference. The invited guest at this event was the Chairman of the Presidium of the NGO "Counter-Terrorist Committee", Candidate of Law, Colonel Urazbaev Amanzhol Zeinollaevich.

Amanzhol Urazbaev had experience in scientific and pedagogical activities, worked as a teacher at the Semipalatinsk Pedagogical Institute, as well as the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Esbulatov. Most of his professional activity was related to activities to counter terrorism and extremism. He has more than 57 scientific publications on the problems of combating terrorism, extremism and drug crime, and also Amanzhol Urazbaev is a co-author of two textbooks "Fundamentals of counterintelligence activities of national security agencies" and "History of security agencies". Colonel Urazbaev represented the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center in Moscow, served as the head of the analytical unit in the Central Asian Regional Information Coordination Center.

The lecture was dedicated to one of the hot topics in the 21st century - activities to counter terrorism and extremism. Today, "extremism and terrorism are a cancerous tumor in modern society, which is growing at a high rate and has a negative impact on all spheres of human life."

RPO "Counter-Terrorism Committee", whose presidium is chaired by Amanzhol Urazbaev, is an organization whose activities are aimed at protecting the constitutional order of the Republic of Kazakhstan, at protecting public order, civil society, as well as protecting the rights and freedoms of man and citizen. The purpose of the organization is to consolidate the efforts of citizens, society and government agencies in countering terrorism, extremism, drug crime, illegal migration and other global threats to the Republic of Kazakhstan. The "Counter-Terrorism Committee" is an information and propaganda center of expertise, which has a huge potential in the person of unique expert specialists, general practitioners and theoretical scientists with vast professional experience in countering terrorism.

The problem of terrorism and violent extremism in the modern world is very relevant. However, the coronavirus pandemic that broke out in 2019 made certain adjustments to the activities of terrorist and extremist groups. Due to the fact that the main part of the population went into self-isolation and the borders were closed, terrorist activity and the level of terrorist attacks decreased. According to analysts, now terrorist groups have technologically shifted the focus of their activities and gone online. Thus, one of the main and most flexible platforms for recruiting new ideological accomplices, especially among young people, has become the Internet. According to experts, youth and adolescents, due to the crisis of identity and socio-economic problems, are more susceptible to the risks of manipulation by recruiters. In Kazakhstan, a lot of preventive work is being done on this issue.

Responsibility for the general condition in Kazakhstan lies not only with the state, but also with civil society. Since only joint forces can have a significant impact on the development of all spheres of the country's public life. A huge plus in the state policy of Kazakhstan is the active involvement of non-governmental associations in the implementation of the problems of countering violent extremism and terrorism. Kazakhstani patriotism is the cornerstone of the formation of peace and prosperity in our land, the foundation of which is family values. In this direction, "grandmother's education" should have a special place, since spirituality, patriotism and the experience of the adult generation help in the development of the moral value system of the younger generation.
