TRADE UNION "PARASAT" SUMMARIZED THE RESULTS OF THE WORK

At the annual reporting conference of the Parasat trade union, the employees of Al-Farabi KazNU summed up the organization's activities, noting the merits of the activists with awards.

At the beginning of his speech, the chairman of the trade union committee, Talgat Mekebaev, reminded the participants that the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, highly appreciated the role of trade unions in Kazakhstani society and set great tasks for the trade union movement.

The speaker noted that the university trade union consists of 4,265 people united in 33 structural divisions. The local trade union "Parasat" of the workers of Al-Farabi KazNU is working to further improve the social, labor, legal and economic security, organization of recreation, health improvement, and leisure of workers.

With the participation of the trade union, vacation schedules, internal rules, instructions are approved, decisions are made to provide material assistance to the employees of our university, the commissions being created consider the appeals of employees, including those on individual labor disputes. Due to the change in the status of our university, draft normative documents of the society are currently being developed with the participation of members of the trade union committee.

Chairman of the Board - Rector of KazNU named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuymebayev has repeatedly noted that the main goal of the financial activity of the university is to create the most favorable conditions for students and teachers. The achievement of this goal contributes to the strengthening of the role of the trade union in the university.

The trade union provided compensation in the amount of 50% of the cost of a voucher to a sanatorium and up to 100% discount to summer camps for employees' children. Funds were allocated for honoring the anniversaries.

During the reporting period, trade union organizations of faculties and divisions carried out a number of activities aimed at ensuring the professional, labor, socio-economic rights and interests of workers, their health, employment and social status.

Fatima Zhakupova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, took the floor during the debate on the report. She not only assessed the work of the trade union, but also proposed new forms of work that can be used in modern conditions. Adviser to the Vice-Rector for Financial Activities Zh.K. Sataev highly appreciated the help of the trade union, provided during the repair of buildings and dormitories of KazNU.

The significant role of the trade union in the life of the university was noted by Professor of the Faculty of Journalism L.S. Akhmetov. The trade union organizer of the Faculty of Physics and Technology D.V. Ismailov. Academician B.B.Karibaev proposed to strengthen the activities of the trade union aimed at the social protection of workers. Answers to many important questions were given by the lawyer of the trade union committee DURyskaliyev. The chairman of the branch trade union "Parasat" of students and workers of educational institutions and scientific and innovative organizations D. Zh. Zhanataev presented awards to the activists of the trade union.

The conference delegates were convinced that the university trade union is successfully coping with the tasks at this stage, providing a constructive dialogue of participants at all levels, team building based on mutual respect, creating conditions for efficient work and decent rest, implementing the principle of social justice, improving the information field using new technologies.
