POSSIBILITIES OF APPLICATION OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES

Within the framework of the conference "The role of radio in the XXI century: global perspectives, sustainable development, access to reliable information, impact on the fate of a person" of the IX International Winter School of Journalism and Communication, organized in honor of the International Day of Radio by the Scientific Center for Humanitarian Research "Mediasphere" of the Faculty of Journalism of KazNU named after Al-Farabi, the topic of discussion was the modern possibilities of global radio to provide information.

This year's International Radio Day was dedicated to the theme "Radio and Trust". The purpose of the winter media event: familiarization with new knowledge and practical skills in the application of digital radio technologies, mastering new technologies and methods in covering the UN Sustainable Development Goal, familiarization with Internet skills and digital literacy skills.

This year, for the first time, a new section was organized as an alternative radio tool to support podcast projects in Kazakhstan.

As part of the conference, which covered such broad topics as mastering new knowledge and practical skills in the application of digital radio technologies, mastering new technologies and methods in highlighting the UN Sustainable Development Goal - peace, fair trial and effective institutions, mastering new skills and competencies on Internet problems and digital literacy, as well as expanding knowledge of radio journalism, experts shared their experience.

About the role of radio in modern society, about the mobile service for providing information: Dean of the Faculty of Journalism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Sansyzbay Madiev, representative of the UN Department of Global Communications Vlastimil Samek, Head of the UN Information Office in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Philology of Altai State University Elena Vasilievna Lukashevich, Professor of the University of International Economics and Diplomacy of Uzbekistan Patima Muminova, Head of the Department of Political Cooperation of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Almaty Almasha Arenova, Associate Professor of the Department of International Journalism and Public Media of UNESCO Alexander Rozhkov, PhD, Scientific Advisor Rafis Abazov, Head of the Department of Printing and Electronic Media of KazNU named after Al-Farabi Gulmira Sultanbayeva, chief analyst of the Farabi media studio of the Department of Information and Communications of KazNU Bakhyt Kurmanbekov and other scientists.

For scientists from Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, China, Russia, Uzbekistan, as well as students, undergraduates, doctoral students of higher educational institutions and media representatives, this event provided an opportunity to receive information on expanding the field of radio journalism and digital technologies.
