A leadership lecture on military security

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a leadership lecture by Nurlan Bayuzakovich Yermekbayev, Kazakhstan's Minister of Defence (2018-2021), Lieutenant General, Ambassador Extraordinary, and Plenipotentiary. He spoke on "Kazakhstan's Military Security Policy".
Welcoming the guest of honor, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Chairman of the Board, Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, thanked him for the visit and stressed the importance of promoting Kazakhstan's policy and its security among the students. Rector noted that Nurlan Yermekbayev began his career with a tour of duty in Angola back in 1984. He graduated with honors from the Red Banner Order Military Institute of the USSR Ministry of Defense as an "Officer" with a degree in Chinese and English, also graduated from the Kazakh State Academy of Architecture and Construction with a degree in Engineering and Economics. He has held important government positions for various years and has the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. In 2018 he was appointed Minister of Defence. It was noted that Nurlan Yermekbayev is a candidate in political sciences, the author of several dozens of articles, co-author of the book "Kazakhstan and the countries of the world", as well as the author of the idea of the film "Time of patriots", which will be released on April 28, 2022.
For his part, Nurlan Yermekbayev thanked the staff and students of the university for their warm welcome and expressed his willingness to share his knowledge and experience during the lecture. In his speech, the statesman spoke in detail about the importance of
ensuring the military security of the state. "The purpose of military security activities is to increase the military potential of the state to adequately respond to military threats to the Republic of Kazakhstan. Thanks to the support of the country's leadership, a range of measures are being implemented purposefully in all aspects of the development of the Armed Forces and increasing the status and prestige of military service in society. This has enabled us to improve the quality of combat training and technical equipment of the troops, provide social guarantees to military personnel, resolve housing issues in a planned manner and noticeably raise the prestige of the army in the framework of international and military cooperation," the lecturer noted.
The leadership lecture discussed a number of issues about the main conditions and factors that affect military security and military threats, as well as the priorities for the ROK armed forces today. In the end, the lecturer answered questions from the audience.
