International Seminar at the Department of Korean Studies and Japanese Studies

September 17, 2011 Department of Korean Studies and Japanese Studies of KazNU named after Al-Farabi and the University Wasseda (Japan) took place a seminar on "The earthquake in Japan, and change the energy policy of peace." The seminar was attended by teachers, masters and students of two universities.

The Japanese delegation, led by Professor Atsushi Ogihara presented a documentary film about the devastating effects of earthquakes in Japan that it was impossible to look without the pain and compassion for the Japanese people. The seminar discussed issues: the situation in the Fukushima nuclear reactor, the effects of the devastating earthquake in the energy sector (Japan), World Energy, Energy Security - key issue of international meetings of leading world powers, the energy policy of Kazakhstan. The seminar hold in a friendly and creative atmosphere. After the seminar on the Sports Complex of university had Sports Game-Teeball - kind of baseball between the teams of the University of Wasseda and KazNU.
