STAFF OF KAZNU LISTENED TO THE PRESIDENT KASSYM-JOMART TOKAYEV'S STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS

The staff and students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University listened with great interest to the Message of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan. The President's speech was broadcast simultaneously from three points of the campus and conference halls of 16 faculties.

The university administration, professors and the students unanimously expressed their support for the new program of political reforms of the Head of State. The staff of KazNU will take an active part in the implementation of new political reforms announced in the message. The university staff drew attention to the relevance of upcoming events in the socio-economic direction. The Message highlighted the main tasks aimed at improving the standard of living of citizens of Kazakhstan.

Special attention is paid to raising the quality of education. "The state plans to allocate educational grants, which, depending on the results of the UNT and other indicators, will be differentiated in size from 30 to 100%. Soft loans for training at 2-3% per annum will be provided with preferential loans. These measures will make higher education more accessible, as well as will strengthen the ideology of partnership and mutual responsibility in our society," the President stated.
