THE PROSPECTS OF COMMERCIALIZATION OF SCIENTIFIC PROJECTS WERE DISCUSSED

The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a meeting with representatives of the China International Technology Transfer Center (CITTC) of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Within the framework of the event, a presentation of Research and development projects funded by JSC "Science Fund" was held.

The event was attended by the head of the CITTC Zhao Zhongyuan, official representative in Kazakhstan Abai Sakhanov, Director of the Department of JSC "Science Fund" Lyazzat Myltykbaeva, Director of the Department for Science and Innovation Yerkin Khakimzhanov and others.

On behalf of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University the participants were welcomed by the Director of the Department for Science and Innovation Yerkin Khakimzhanov, who presented the achievements of the university in the field of R&D. On the basis of the university there are more than 35 research institutes and centers. There are many examples of successful commercialization of R&D results.

In turn, the head of the Chinese Center for Technology Transfer Zhang Zhongyuan thanked the leadership of KazNU for the warm welcome and expressed interest in mutually beneficial and long-term cooperation.

During the event, the following presentation of the R&D commercialization projects was made: creation of small-scale production of hardware and software complexes for studying electromagnetic phenomena in a physics course; complex automation of higher educational institutions, introduction of digital services; organization of small-scale production of energy-saving gas-discharge lamps with increased the intensity of the glow; organization of production of carbon nanostructured materials; production of innovative designers of small spacecraft for educational institutions; advanced iBox – a platform for universal virtual agent devices; mobile apps, panoramic 3D tours, interactive maps and QR codes, etc.

It should be noted that the Chinese Technology Transfer Center was established on December 10, 2020 according to the instructions of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang with the support of the SCO Secretariat, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China and the Qingdao District Government. CITTC is the largest innovative service platform created to expand channels of international cooperation and develop multilateral cooperation in the fields of science, technology, culture, economy and trade.
