MEETING WITH THE COORDINATORS OF THE HORIZON EUROPE PROGRAM

A meeting with the coordinators of the Horizon Europe program was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Welcoming the guests, Board Member – Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities of KazNU Haidar Tasibekov noted that KazNU ranked 150th in the QS world ranking, stressed that the university was recently awarded the status of a research university by a Government decree. In addition, KazNU is already cooperating with more than 500 major international universities in the world. Moreover, the University has partnership with the European Union Framework Program for Investing in Science and Innovation "Horizon Europe". The scientific initiatives of the program allow countries to participate in important discussions on a number of issues.

The program pays special attention to the problem of climate change, ways to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

"Thanks to the Horizon Europe program and with the help of our colleagues from other countries, we continue to conduct our joint scientific research. We must encourage and support scientists and students. Our task is to increase knowledge and develop cooperation," the Vice–rector said.

At the meeting, the National Coordinator of the EU Framework Programs for Science and Innovation Kamila Magzieva presented the project "Participation in the European Union Framework Program for Investment in Science and Innovation Horizon Europe".
