STUDENTS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO COMPLETE INTERNSHIP IN POLAND

Honorary Consul, Rector of the Higher Economic School in Bialystok Alexander Prokopyuk visited Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The member of the Board, Vice–Rector for Operations of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Assel Ualiyeva met with the guest. The parties discussed the possibilities of bilateral cooperation in the field of education, science and academic mobility.

Welcoming the guest of honor, the Vice-Rector for Operations noted benefits of long-term ties between KazNU and Polish universities. "Today Al-Farabi Kazakh National University cooperates with 15 universities in Poland. As part of the academic mobility program for 2022, 14 students and 40 undergraduates of KazNU studied and completed internships in Poland, 11 doctoral students completed a research internship with their foreign supervisors. 12 professors of KazNU visited universities and research centers in Poland," Assel Ualieva said.

In turn, the rector of the Higher Economic School in Bialystok, Alexander Prokopyuk voiced a number of specific proposals for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation. "I think it is important to conclude a memorandum of cooperation between KazNU and the Higher School of Economics. This initiative will contribute to the training of educated and qualified economists. Thus, students will have the opportunity to master the educational programs of two countries at once. Then they will be granted a double diploma," Alexander Prokopyuk said.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on the systematic implementation of the initiatives and exchanged memorable gifts.
