THE DELEGATION OF KAZAN UNIVERSITY VISITED KAZNU

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with a delegation of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University. The head of the university thanked the guests for their visit to KazNU.

KazNU has signed more than 190 bilateral cooperation agreements with leading universities in Russia. Today 54 Russian students acquire knowledge at the university. To be specific, 18 individuals were awarded educational grants, while 36 students study on a contract basis.

"Since 2014 a partnership agreement has been concluded between our universities, this year a PhD student of the Faculty of Medicine and Health of KazNU completed a scientific internship at Kazan State Medical University," the head of the KazNU University stated. During the meeting, the rector noted readiness for joint training of specialists in the field of engineering sciences and technologies, medicine, social sciences and humanities with leading universities of the Russian Federation.

In turn, Ekaterina Turilova, Vice-Rector for Educational Activities of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, Director of the Lobachevsky Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, thanked the leadership of KazNU for the warm welcome and told about the goals, objectives and activities of the university. The parties exchanged views and discussed issues of further development of mutual cooperation.

In conclusion, the parties agreed to activate the academic mobility program, as well as exchange leading scientists for lectures and scientific guidance of PhD students.
