STUDENT OF KAZNU WON A BRONZE MEDAL

2^nd year student of KazNU Al-Farabi Faculty of Law Serik Abdimazhit has won a bronze medal at the World Cadet, Youth and Junior Sambo Championship in Yerevan, Armenia.

The international tournament brought together more than 500 best wrestlers from 24 countries, such as Kazakhstan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Colombia, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Georgia, Israel, Iceland, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Latvia, Moldova, Mongolia, Romania, Serbia, Tajikistan, USA, Uzbekistan, Russia and many others.

Athletes competed in different age and weight categories. As the young wrestler Serik Abdimazhit noted: "It was a responsible performance for me and I had to prove my professionalism and endurance. The level of all athletes was excellent and all showed good results. I am grateful to my coaches and teachers who prepared and supported me!".

The World Cadet, Youth and Junior Sambo Championship in Yerevan was held from October 14 to 16, where 55 sets of prizes were awarded. KazNU student Serik Abdizhami performed in the 71 kg weight category, having managed to overcome many of the strongest wrestlers.
