A meeting with Mr. Mohsen Fagani, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Kazakhstan and Mr. Majit Aligar, Head of the Cultural representation at the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies on November 16.
Mr. Consul General at a meeting with Dean of the Faculty N.B. Yem addressed the problems of teaching and dissemination of the Persian in Kazakhstan, and made certain proposals to raise special grants on Persian major in Kazakh educational programs in order to attract graduates to the Department of Iranian Studies.
The Iranian guests also noted that the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kazakhstan is always ready to support graduates of the Faculty of Iranian Studies, five Iranian companies operating in Kazakhstan are ready to hire graduates of the Faculty of Iranian Studies. Over the past 6 years about 50 companies have arrived in Kazakhstan and 5 official delegations from Iran. Mr. Majit Aligar highlighted that among the representatives of Kazakh companies wishing to work in Iran, there were more and more people interested in learning Persian. He stated that he was considering the possibilities. In turn, the dean of the faculty stated that she was always ready to support the development of such cooperation, and also offered to use the faculty's capabilities to develop a tourist hub between the two countries.
