TOPICAL ISSUES OF ORIENTAL STUDIES AND TURKOLOGY WERE DISCUSSED AT KAZNU

The international scientific and methodological conference "Actual Problems of Oriental Studies and Turkology" dedicated to the 70^th anniversary of the outstanding scientist, Doctor of Philology, Professor Islam Zhemeney was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The scientists discussed topical issues of Oriental studies and Turkology. The event was organized by the Department of Oriental Studies.

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev on behalf of the team congratulated the scientist on his anniversary.

"You studied new directions of Oriental studies in our country, wrote scientific works common to the Islamic world. We conducted fundamental research, compiled informative monographs, textbooks and manuals, and formed our own scientific school.

Islam Zhemeney is a cultural figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the International Union of Writers ‘Pen Club’, the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, a representative in Kazakhstan of the magazine "Guncel Sanat", which is published in Turkey, a member of the Board of the Scientific Research Foundation of the Islamic Republic of Iran "Firdausi", a representative of the Scientific Research Foundation of the Republic of Uzbekistan "Zahireddin Muhammad Babur" in Kazakhstan.
