MEETING OF THE RECTOR OF KAZNU WITH DIRECTOR GENERAL OF CNPC INTERNATIONAL IN KAZAKHSTAN - LI YONGHONG

Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with the Director General of China National Petroleum Company in Kazakhstan Li Yonghong. At the meeting the parties discussed issues of joint implementation of large-scale projects.

Welcoming the guest of honor, the head of the university Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted the recent achievements and future plans of KazNU.

"By focusing on the development of science and innovation, this year KazNU has risen to the 150^th place in the international QS ranking among the best universities in the world. Our university successfully continues its scientific and educational activities. It firmly demonstrates intellectual potential not only on a national scale, but also at the international level. KazNU’s scientists contribute to the development of Russian science as well. The university has laucnhed more than 100 innovative projects. Moreover, our university successfully operates certification centers of well–known companies such as Samsung, Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, Konica Minolta, Fujitsu, Alcatel, Microsoft, Kaspersky, Huawei, as well as other Academies and institutes," Zhanseit Tuimebayev stated.

In turn, Director General of CNPC in Kazakhstan Li Yonghong thanked Zhanseit Tuimebayev for the warm welcome and highly appreciated the achievements of KazNU.

It is worth noting that the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) is an international integrated energy company with a leading position in the world. CNPC is China's largest oil and gas producer and supplier and one of the largest strategic partners of Kazakhstan.

At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged memorable gifts and agreed on further joint implementation of large-scale projects.
