RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF TURKOLOGY AND ALTAI STUDIES HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED IN KAZNU

The grand opening of the Research Institute of Turkology and Altai Studies took place in the Al-Farabi library of the Kazakh National University.

The newly opened institute will conduct extensive research on rare manuscripts and ancient books. Thus, more than 600 manuscripts have not been fully studied in the fund of the al-Farabi library. Currently, the Institute's specialists are conducting research, analyzing the manuscript data, valuable information and materials.

Within the framework of the solemn event, the I International Scientific Congress "Ethno-language Picture of the World and the Turkic Heritage" was held. As the scientists noted, the purpose of the event is to attract representatives of various fields of science to generalize research in the field of Turkology and Altai studies and further continue work on the study of the Turkic heritage. The event was attended by researchers from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Hungary.
