The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a meeting of management representatives with exchange students from Japan studying Russian at the Winter School ‘Regional Studies. Politics, Economy and Culture of Central Asia’.
Winter School ‘Regional Studies. Politics, Economy and Culture of Central Asia’ is organized in the KazNU within the framework of an agreement concluded with Sofia University and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. During the month, 30 students from these two higher educational institutions will study Russian, will get acquainted with the culture and traditions of Kazakhstan.
A meeting of Board member- Vice–Rector for Operations Assel Uvaliyeva and Board member- Vice-Rector for Social Development Nurzhan Aidosov with students studying at the winter school took place in the Al-Farabi Library.
During the live dialogue, students from Japanese universities shared their impressions of Kazakhstan, which fascinated them with its cuisine, nature and the hospitality of people.
After the meeting, a friendly match was scheduled in the University Sports Complex between guests from the Land of the Rising Sun and the national team of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The initiators of the match were the students from Japan.
