RECTOR OF KAZNU MET WITH MA XINGRUI

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev took part in the 2^nd Friendly Dialogue of Cross-Border Cooperation between Kazakhstan and China, which was held in Almaty. The purpose of the meeting is to deepen cooperation and expand ties between two states. 

 During the event, the rector of the University met with a member of the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party, Communist Party Secretary of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, Ma Xingrui.

Zhanseit Tuimebayev told the guest of honor about the achievements of KazNU and innovative projects developed by our scientists. The Secretary was also presented with a model of the nanosatellite "Al-Farabi-2" and the book "Al-Farabi" that were released at the university.

The head of the university invited Mr. Ma Xingrui to the university to get acquainted with the scientific infrastructure of KazNU.

It should be noted that Al-Farabi Kazakh National University cooperates with 43 universities of China. These are universities such as: Shanghai International Studies University, Peking University, Wuhan University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Xinjiang University, Beijing Foreign Studies, etc.

In the 2019-2022 academic year, 79 KazNU students completed an internship at Chinese universities under the program academic mobility. In addition, 37 representatives of the faculty of the university visited China to participate in conferences, where they improve their skills. Currently, 386 Chinese students are studying at KazNU.
