Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Altai Kulginov during a working trip to the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University visited the Research Center of Medicinal Plants and got acquainted with the work and high-tech equipment designed for the development of medicines.

Director Zhanar Zhenis spoke about the activities of the scientific center, noting that its main goal is to study and develop medicinal additives based on plants growing in Kazakhstan.

According to the scientist, the center is equipped with the latest equipment. Currently, biologically active additives of a wide spectrum of action are produced there. This includes medicines against COVID-19, influenza, liver diseases. The center also produces several types of herbal teas for diabetes, blood pressure regulation, gastrointestinal tract improvment.
