KAZNU HOSTED AN EXHIBITION FOR YOUNG SCIENTISTS

As part of the Science Week, an exhibition of innovative projects of student business incubators was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Successful scientific developments of students of the faculty and student startups were presented.

 The purpose of the event is to popularize innovative projects of young scientists of the University.

The inventors of the Faculty of Philology of KazNU presented the project "The First Largest Kazakh Online Dictionary of Homonyms". The aim of the project is to expand the use of homonymous words in the Kazakh. According to the authors, the project is implemented via their website. Anyone can find out what class of words, meaning and content belong to by writing one word in Kazakh on the website. In the future, the authors of the project plan to translate homonyms into Russian and English.

Also at the exhibition of young scientists, 1st-year student of the Faculty of Physics and Technology Murat Yeleusinov presented his scientific project. The young scientist prepared glasses with a special sound signal for drivers traveling on a long road. If the driver falls asleep on the road, after two seconds the signal is played through the sound system. According to the inventor, the device will help prevent traffic accidents.

Young scientists of the Faculty of Physics and Technology presented the project "Self Driving Ground Vehicle". This car can be used in case of an emergency and for military purposes. The car has a thermal imager, a protective unit, a sound system, LEDs, a video camera. In the case of an earthquake, people trapped under the embankment can be found through a thermal imager. And in winter there is an opportunity to observe the animals listed in the Red Book with the help of video cameras. The main advantage of this invention is that it does not harm the environment.
