Applications for participation in the competition for admission to the Preparatory Department of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University under the State Educational Grant Program will be accepted from August 5 to September 5, 2026.
Applicants should scan all required documents and submit them as a single PDF file by email to kaznu.podkurs2024@gmail.com, or submit printed copies in person to the Admissions Office of the Keremet Student Service Center, located at 71 Al-Farabi Avenue, Almaty.
The competitive selection process will be conducted by the Admissions Committee from September 10 to September 15, 2026.

Applicants must present a valid identity document to participate in the selection process.
The competitive selection is conducted in the form of an individual oral interview to assess the applicant's overall academic preparedness and aptitude for the chosen field of study.
During the interview, each applicant is expected to demonstrate broad knowledge and general awareness by answering questions from the Admissions Committee. Interviews are conducted individually.
The interview assesses the following:
The maximum interview score is 100 points.
Applicants who score less than 50 points or fail to attend the interview will be considered unsuccessful in the competitive selection.
Retaking the interview is not permitted.
Admission of successful applicants to the Preparatory Department will take place from September 25 to September 28, 2026.
The duration of study at the Preparatory Department is nine (9) months, from October 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
