MODEL OF GRADUATING STUDENT
Upon completion of this program, it is expected that undergraduates will be able to: justify and interpret contemporary concepts on the major directions of petrochemistry development, fundamental principles, laws, and theories in the fundamental areas of scientific research.
substantiate the use of modern physico-chemical and analytical methods for studying the compositional and hydrocarbon content of crude oil and petroleum products, rheological properties, parameters, and regularities of technological processes in oil refining.
prepare equipment for testing oil, gas and their products.
demonstrate an understanding of the influence of hydrocarbon components of crude oil and petroleum products on their reactivity under conditions of processing processes.
apply theoretical and applied principles of green chemistry, as well as knowledge from other fields of natural and humanitarian sciences, to solve standard tasks of professional activity in the petrochemical industry, based on independent study of modern scientific and technical literature.
perform calculations and evaluation of the main thermodynamic and kinetic parameters of various technological systems and processes in petrochemistry using modern computational technologies.
forecast the probability, direction, and degree of occurrence of petrochemical processes to obtain a product with specific characteristics and increase its yield based on the analysis of computational and experimental data.
analyze the reasons for deviations of technological parameters of the process from the specified values in order to take reasoned measures to prevent and correct errors in oil refining.
plan, organize, and conduct scientific experiments or tests in the field of petrochemistry using physico-chemical and mathematical methods.
substantiate the choice of the optimal mathematical model, the most effective method of synthesis, analysis, and measurement means to solve specific scientific or production tasks in the field of petrochemistry.
ensure high-quality preparation of oil (gas) transportation in accordance with technical conditions.
evaluate the current state of systems and processes to improve the procedure for developing and implementing methods, approaches, technologies, and measures aimed at reducing environmental pollution, optimizing the use of natural resources, ensuring safety, and environmental safety of products and technologies in the petrochemical industry.
ensure control over the operation of technological facilities and structural divisions of the oil and gas refining organization.
