QUALIFICATION
- First Stage of Higher Education - Bachelor of Natural Science
MODEL OF GRADUATING STUDENT
1. To justify contemporary concepts on the major directions of petrochemistry development, fundamental principles, laws, and theories in the fundamental areas of scientific research;
2. To use modern physico-chemical and analytical methods for studying the compositional and hydrocarbon content of crude oil and petroleum products, rheological properties, parameters, and regularities of technological processes in oil refining;
3. To select equipment for testing oil, gas and their refining products, the optimal mathematical model, the most effective synthesis method, measuring instruments for solving specific scientific or production problems in the field of petrochemistry;
4. To demonstrate an understanding of the influence of hydrocarbon components of crude oil and petroleum products on their reactivity under conditions of refining processes;
5. To apply theoretical and applied principles of green chemistry, as well as knowledge from other fields of natural and humanitarian sciences, to solve standard tasks of professional activity in the petrochemical industry, based on independent study of modern scientific and technical literature;
6. To perform calculations and evaluation of the main thermodynamic and kinetic parameters of various technological systems and processes in petrochemistry using modern computational technologies;
7. To forecast the probability, direction, and degree of progress of petrochemical processes to obtain a product with specific characteristics and increase its yield based on the analysis of computational and experimental data;
8. To analyze the reasons for deviations of technological parameters of the process from the specified values in order to take reasoned measures to prevent and correct errors in oil refining;
9. To implement planning, organizing, and carrying out scientific experiments or tests in the field of petrochemistry using physico-chemical and mathematical methods;
10. To communicate effectively in oral and written form, including in a foreign language, in a professional environment and society, form and argue for defending one's own point of view, worldview and civic position in interpersonal interaction and intercultural environment;
11. To ensure high-quality preparation of oil (gas) transportation in accordance with technical specifications and normal operation of equipment and instruments operated by petrochemical laboratories;
12. To provide management and control of the work of technological facilities and structural divisions for the preparation and pumping of oil (gas) and water of oil and gas refining organizations.
