Upon completion of this educational program, it is expected that doctoral students will be able to:
1. build trends in digital technology, digital media;
2. theorize the approaches and concepts of modern communicativistics;
3. practice research approaches in the study of communications used in world science;
4. present ideas for solving applied objectives of representatives of the media and communication industry;
5. classify the communication concepts of researchers of mass communication; develop concepts of media and communication programs;
6. predict the effectiveness of the impact of communication, network, mobile, electronic, printed methods of research on the development of various spheres of society;
7. analyze data in communication projects; offer own hypotheses and draw up a project or research plan to solve problems; conduct media and classroom planning;
8. solve communication tasks, conduct communication companies to attract investments, analyze preferred media carriers depending on the target investor audience;
9. build opportunities, limitations of media channels for working with an investment audience, diagnose difficulties in communicating with investment audiences;
10. project, generate new ideas, concepts in the field of communicology, medialogy for the practical application of different types of communication in communicativistics.
11. develop communication strategies in the non-profit sector; conduct an experiment of promoting projects in the non-profit sector;
12. develop, use new multimedia communication strategies; implement comprehensive research in the media field.

  • Description - The purpose of the discipline is to form the ability of doctoral students to explore the media environment, the communication industry of Kazakhstan and the near and far abroad, to analyze mass communications. Theories and concepts of communication schools of different countries and regions of the world, new formats, and trends of modern communicology and specifics of mass communication, the history of communications in different periods of information revolutions will be studied.

  • Description - The purpose of the discipline is to build the ability of doctoral students to attract investments to finance research of the media system of Kazakhstan, taking into account its historical, socio-political, economic and information-cultural development. This course introduces the history and modern development of the media system in Kazakhstan, with the media impact on the development of society.

  • Description - The main purpose of "PhD thesis writing and defence": of a doctoral dissertation is the formation of the doctoral students' ability to disclose the content of research work for the defense of the thesis. During the study of course, doctoral student's should be competent in: 1. to substantiate the content of new scientifically grounded theoretical and experimental results that allow to solve a theoretical or applied problem or are a major achievement in the development of specific scientific directions; 2. explain the assessment of the completeness of the solutions to the tasks assigned, according to the specifics of the professional sphere of activity; 3. they can analyze alternative solutions for solving research and practical problems and assess the prospects for implementing these options; 4. apply the skills of writing scientific texts and presenting them in the form of scientific publications and presentations. 5. to plan and structure the scientific search, clearly highlight the research problem, develop a plan / program and methods for its study, formalize, in accordance with the requirements of the State Educational Establishment, the scientific and qualification work in the form of a thesis for a scientific degree Doctor of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) on specialty «8D07502 – Standardization and certification (by industry)». This course introduces the methods of mass communication analysis, the methods of communication impact on social development, public opinion in the period of increasing influence of digital technologies, social networks, global problems of geopolitics, information wars, cyber security.

Digital Media and Society

  • Description - The purpose of the discipline is to form the ability to explore, analyze and apply digital technologies, digital communications. Mobile platforms will be studied: the use of messenger platforms in digital communication; strategic media planning in the work of the media agency; ecosystem of programmatic tools; digital project management: efficient business processes, resource planning, quality control and performance indicators.

Global communication

  • Description - The purpose of the discipline is to form the ability to explore, analyze global, regional and local communications. This course introduces the trend, forms of manifestation, varieties of global communication, and in particular with information globalization, with its pluses and minuses during an impact on the social development of countries and continents; introduces technological, biogenic, environmental, psychological, neurophysiological effects.
