ON1. Explain the principles of the organization of theoretical and experimental research, basic phenomena and processes through systemic understanding in the field of materials science and engineering.
ON2. Choose methods of theoretical and experimental studies of high efficiency in the framework of the scientific direction for obtaining products with desired properties.
ON3. To put into practice modern devices and research methods in the field of materials science to study the structure and properties of new materials, to combine research methods to obtain reliable results and achievements of the tasks set.
ON4. To develop and adapt a complex process of scientific research, analysis, diagnosis and implementation of finished engineering products.
ON5. Evaluate technological tasks and schemes of the processes of obtaining modern materials; optimize the existing technological methods of production based on the assessment.
ON6. To critically analyze and predict a complex of physicochemical properties that ensure the environmental safety of the use of end products in the field of materials science, engineering and engineering.
ON7. Implement and improve in practice the technological processes of production and processing of materials and finished products from them, the quality requirements of a market economy, including project management.

  • Description - The main purpose of "PhD thesis writing and defence": of a doctoral dissertation is the formation of the doctoral students' ability to disclose the content of research work for the defense of the thesis. During the study of course, doctoral student's should be competent in: 1. to substantiate the content of new scientifically grounded theoretical and experimental results that allow to solve a theoretical or applied problem or are a major achievement in the development of specific scientific directions; 2. explain the assessment of the completeness of the solutions to the tasks assigned, according to the specifics of the professional sphere of activity; 3. they can analyze alternative solutions for solving research and practical problems and assess the prospects for implementing these options; 4. apply the skills of writing scientific texts and presenting them in the form of scientific publications and presentations. 5. to plan and structure the scientific search, clearly highlight the research problem, develop a plan / program and methods for its study, formalize, in accordance with the requirements of the State Educational Establishment, the scientific and qualification work in the form of a thesis for a scientific degree Doctor of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) on specialty «8D07502 – Standardization and certification (by industry)».   • Description - The purpose of the discipline is the formation of a methodological and research culture of doctorate students, the ability to independently formulate scientific problems and the algorithm of scientific search, focusing on fundamental knowledge of scientific research methods in the field of the of nanitechnology, as well as the possibility of interdisciplinary methodology. During the study of the discipline doctoral students will study the following aspects: the study of key ideas and basic principles, laws and mechanisms of cognitive activity. Consideration of ethical problems of science and technology development, basic spiritual values and their significance for professional activity. Expanding and improving the knowledge of doctoral students in the heuristic and methodological fields of science through the development of scientific and methodological tools of modern nanotechnology and engineering. It will be studied: physical and mathematical models of nanoscale elements, calculation of wave functions using the molecular orbital-linear combination method of atomic orbitals, methods for calculating the electronic structure of many particle systems based on the density functional theory based on the Materials Studio software package.

Electronic processes in non-crystalline materials
