About the program
Training of specialists in the system of law enforcement agencies for the implementation of forensic activities. The training involves training in all areas of forensic activity, including the production of forensic examinations, the ability to integrate the achievements of natural sciences into forensic activities and expert practice, independently carry out scientific research of a theoretical and applied nature for the development of this field; build your own professional development program and carry out scientific and pedagogical activities at the undergraduate level.
Graduate model
1.To understand the connection of philosophical thought with intellectual and moral-emotional qualities of a person for self-improvement, understanding the high social significance of the profession of a criminalist, using English language knowledge to improve professional and scientific qualifications in criminalistic activities, to understand and compare the level of domestic and foreign experience in combating offenses;
2.Pply knowledge of psychology, as well as pedagogical techniques for the implementation of a communicative strategy in professional activities and the necessary meta-competences - purposefulness, creativity, conscientiousness, responsibility, development of strong-willed qualities, overcoming conflicts and other qualities when working together with the investigator and other participants in procedural legal relations;
3.To reveal modern and traditional methods of criminalistic activity, achievements of science, technology used by law enforcement agencies to identify and search for the offender, to establish his guilt; to show the role of criminalistic science for proper qualification, to show the state of the science of criminology in developed countries; to explain the didactics of studying the subject of "Criminology" at the undergraduate level;
4.To explain the tasks of qualifying a criminal offense, to interpret the composition of offenses in accordance with the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to correctly determine the degree of guilt, to show problematic issues of criminal law, to explain the didactics of studying the subject of "Investigative techniques ... " at the bachelor's level;
5.Understand the theoretical and procedural aspects of proof in the qualification of an act; explain the limits of proof, the classification of evidence, apply the means of proof provided for by the CPC of the Republic of Kazakhstan and demonstrate the procedural rules of their application, show the distinctive features of each investigative action in pre-trial proceedings; to explain the didactics of studying the subject of "Investigation techniques..." at the undergraduate level; apply interactive methods for conducting laboratory classes in criminology at the undergraduate level
6.Demonstrate a set of scientific and technical means, show skills in the use of investigative suitcase tools - lighting, search, fixation, packaging, possess traditional and modern techniques for detecting, fixing, removing material traces, carry out forensic registration, accounting, possess techniques of forensic photography, video recording, apply interactive methods for conducting laboratory research on criminology at the level of Bachelor's degree
7.Demonstrate the legal and procedural aspects of the participation of a specialist in conducting investigative actions, covert investigative actions and forensic examinations, the rules for the production of forensic examinations, the grounds for appointment, the specifics of the production of individual, commission, complex examinations and their design, the stages of expert research, the forms of conclusions, etc.; to determine the content, topics and plans of seminars when teaching special courses at the undergraduate level;
8.Plain the methodology based on the teachings of forensic identification, diagnostics, demonstrate skills in the use of a light microscope, binocular, comparative microscopes, and other means in the production of forensic examinations,
9.Apply methods and means of expert research based on knowledge about the subject, objects of tracological examination: traces of hands, feet, teeth, other body parts, traces of human shoes, burglary tools and their traces, vehicles and their traces, establishing the whole in parts, about the subject, the object of ballistic examination, apply methods and means of expert examination research of bullets, cartridges, draw up a specialist's opinion, explain the didactics of studying the subject of "Forensic examination" at the undergraduate level;
10.Apply methods for solving diagnostic problems on handwritten texts, signatures, methods of identification by signature, manuscripts based on knowledge of the theory of forensic examination of documents, apply methods for studying forensic technical prints of seals, stamps, document forms, identify changes in the original content of documents, conduct an examination of portrait identification, videographic examination, issue a specialist's opinion, explain didactics of studying the subject of "Forensic examination" at the undergraduate level;
11.To assess the relationship between the process of investigating offenses, the production of forensic expertise, research, scientific and methodological forms of activity; to show the relationship and the role of integrating scientific knowledge from the natural sciences and the science of criminology into the practical activities of a criminalist, to explain the didactics of studying the subject of "Forensic examination" at the undergraduate level; to help students in writing an article, a thesis;
12.To determine the content, methods and means of training sessions in accordance with the objectives of the subjects "Criminalistics", "Forensic examination", "Methods of investigation of criminal offenses" and other special courses for the development of teaching methods and the implementation of pedagogical activities based on psychological and pedagogical principles, to select topics of educational importance.
