About the program
Preparation of a competitive, qualified obstetrician-gynecologist, capable of providing obstetric and gynecological care to women and girls efficiently and promptly in accordance with the principles of evidence-based medicine and the application of modern medical technologies.

Upon completion of this program, it is expected that residents will be able to
1.Integrate clinical knowledge and skills for effective diagnosis, treatment, and management of disease/pregnancy, rehabilitation, and health promotion in women outside of pregnancy, during pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum period, and in girls of childhood and adolescent age at all levels of healthcare based on evidence-based practice, critical consideration of new information.
2.Provide specialized medical care in the field of reproductive health in accordance with current clinical treatment protocols, taking into account the standard of obstetric-gynecological care, evaluating the effectiveness and safety of surgical interventions, medication and non-medication therapy.
3.Effectively use communication skills to establish positive and trusting relationships with women, children, adolescents, and their families (or legal representatives) in the process of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases, including emergency conditions, including performing diagnostic procedures and initiating appropriate interventions.
4.Apply knowledge of the basic principles of human behavior and the psychology of patients for effective communication and management of the treatment and diagnostic process, observing the principles of ethics and deontology, demonstrating teamwork with other healthcare professionals.
5.Provide timely and effective specialized medical care in emergency and life-threatening conditions arising in obstetric-gynecological care, including in emergencies, natural and man-made disasters, pandemics.
6.Apply legal knowledge in the field of health protection, protection of the rights of the doctor and the patient, be guided by regulatory legal acts that determine the activities of organizations and medical workers in the field of reproductive health protection.
7.Use modern information and digital technologies and health information systems to solve professional tasks, increase their effectiveness in ensuring the safety and quality of medical care, as well as maintaining accounting and reporting medical documentation.
8.Conduct measures of specific and non-specific disease prevention, health education work and the formation of a healthy lifestyle in order to improve the health of children and adults and the population as a whole.
9.Follow the highest standards of professional responsibility and integrity, focus on personal growth and lifelong learning.
10.Analyze and critically evaluate professional literature, formulate research questions, effectively use international databases in their daily activities, participate in scientific research aimed at advancing knowledge in the field of human health and improving the quality of life.
