On February 24, 2024 as part of the project, senior adviser of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia A.Ye. Zhumadilova, held a curatorial hour in the dormitory No. 14 for undergraduate students of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia on the topics “The Code of Honor of a student of al-Farabi Kazakh National University” and “Change time zones”.

On February 23, within the framework of the partnership point for Sustainable Development of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) project, a meeting was held at the Department of the Middle East and South Asia with Roberto Boltri, a UN volunteer in Central Asia, a consultant on ecology and socio-economic development. 

On February 12, 2024, the “Council of Young Scientists” of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Ph.D. Kambarbekova Galiya Amzeevna held a scientific seminar “Sources: research methods, classification and problems arising in the course of research”.

I am Diana Asylbekkyzy Pazylbekova, a 4th-year student in the "Translation Studies" specialty at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Currently, I am studying as an international exchange student at Hokkaido University in Sapporo, Japan.

My name is Kazhen Shakhislam Bakytzhanuly, I am a senir student at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Japanese Language Translation specialty. My programme is called Nikkensei (日研生) and it is sponsored by MEXT. 

In December 2023, 3rd year students of the Korean Studies Department returned from various prestigious universities in the Republic of Korea. As part of the program, students studied at such prestigious universities in Korea as Busan University of Foreign Studies, Sookmyung Women's University, Dongguk University, Kookmin University and Gangneung Wonju National University. 

       The lecture was given by leading psychological scientists S.K. Kudaibergenova and Z.B. Madalieva.

On January 28, 2024, a festive event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Republic of India was held in Almaty within the framework of the Partnership for Sustainable Development on the program of the Sustainable Development Goals. 

An international scientific and practical conference dedicated to Oriental scholar, academician Absattar Derbisali "Contribution of academician, Sheikh Absattar Derbisali to the development of Islamic culture in independent Kazakhstan" was held in Cairo.
