Aldabek Nurzhamal Abdrazakovna - Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, famous Kazakh Sinologist. The school of scientists trained by Nurzhamal Abdrazakovna is her contribution to domestic oriental studies. To date, she has trained about twenty candidates of sciences and doctors of sciences. In addition to science, Professor Aldabek served as head of the department, dean of the faculty, vice-rector, worked in the ministry. Currently works at the Department of Chinese Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

On April 3, 2021, the Department of Chinese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, together with Ain Shams University (Egypt), held an international round table on the topic "Teaching the Chinese language online in a pandemic."

April 2, 2021, as part of a series of events in connection with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence at the Department of Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazNU named after al-Farabi, together with the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture Nur-Mubarak and the European Observatory Al-Marsad Al-Urubi (France) began III Republican methodological webinar for university teachers "FEATURES AND METHODS OF FUNCTIONAL LEARNING OF THE ARABIC LANGUAGE: FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE IN ONLINE FORMAT", which will last until April 24, 2021.

On April 2, 2021, the Department of Chinese Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Northwestern University in Xi'an, China, jointly held an international student fair "Online Admissions Seminar for the 2021 Academic Year".

On March 29, 2021 at the Department of the Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, with the assistance of the Swami Vivekananda Indian Cultural Center the celebration of the spring holidays Nauryz and Holi was held.

On March 24, the opening ceremony of the "Continuing Education Course for Chinese Teachers" was held at Lanzhou University in China. The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the department of international cooperation of KazNU Aizhan Bolatkhanovna, director of the Confucius Institute at KazNU R. Asylbekov, head of the department of Chinese studies Orazakynkyzy F. and teaching staff of the department of Chinese studies, head of the department of international relations of Lanzhou University Chi Gan, director of the Institute of International Cultural Exchange of Lanzhou University Zhang Wengan, and teaching staff of Lanzhou University. During the event, the head of the department of international cooperation of KazNU Aizhan Bolatkhanovna and the head of the department of Chinese studies F. Orazakynkyzy, head of the department of international relations of Lanzhou University Chi Gan, director of the Institute of International Cultural Exchange of Lanzhou University Zhang Wengang made speeches and exchanged warm greetings.

On 18 March, Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ospanova Bakytzhamal Kairbekovna expressed her gratitude to the teachers and students of the Indian Studies Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies for their active assistance in translating bibliographic descriptions from Hindi into Kazakh and Russian languages of new books of the Indian Book Corner in the world literature reading room.

The Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University officially launched an online Tajik language course on March 16, 2021. The event was attended by the Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Almaty Bahodur Nazir, a Tajik language teacher from the Tajik State Pedagogical University named after S. Aini Jamila Saidova, the head of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia P. M. Suleimenov, the deputy head of the Department for Scientific work F. Zhumazhanova and also by teachers, students of the faculty.

On March 15, 2021, an international online conference "The contribution of the Second Teacher Abu Nasr al-Farabi to human civilization" was held in Cairo as part of the celebration of the 1150th anniversary of the great thinker of the Kazakh steppe, a native of Otyrar Abu Nasr al-Farabi, known in the world as the "Second Teacher" after Aristotle. The conference was held with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Cairo and the Academy of Islamic Studies of Al-Azhar University, as well as the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
