05.12.2023 students of the Turksoy department held a meeting with Shamil Abiltai, a famous Kuichi, singer and Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals project.

Based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) project. The winter school "Kazakhstan and Pakistan: cultural and historical ties" began its work with the organization of teachers-professors of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. 

At the invitation of Suat Beylur, Director of the Eurasian Research Institute of the International Kazakh-Turkish University, senior lecturer of the Turksoy Department Nurat Ilyas took part in the presentation of the Kazakh translation of the book "I, the Other and Others: the history of relations between Islam and Western countries" by Turkish statesman, diplomat, Professor Ibrahim Kalyn. 

In the framework of striving for active participation in social life and formation of civic responsibility among students, a social and educational event was held at the Far East Department, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Kazakh National University Al-Farabi.

Professor of the Department of Chinese Studies of thе faculty of Oriental Studies Daulet Fatimabibi on November 30, 2023 won 1st place at the V competition of teachers of the Chinese language organized by Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages. 

In this regard, with the aim of forming deep knowledge of students about sustainable development under the leadership of the UN. department of Korean medicine Zhakhanovoy Z.A. and zav. Department of Japanese Studies Tazabekova G.B. at the department of the Far East, a brain-ring was held among students of the 3rd year of the educational program "Vostokovedenie" on the topic "Protection of marine ecosystems and terrestrial ecosystems".

at the Department of the Far East, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi KazNU., with the support of the Education Center of the Republic of Korea in Almaty, held a Korean language knowledge competition as part of the Korean Studies Week.
