11/29/2023 MASTER CLASS WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF LEADING NATIVE LANGUAGE TRANSLATORS

he scientific seminar-workshop was organized by Fatimabibi Nogaykyzy Daulet, professor of the Department of Chinese Studies, within the framework of the disciplines “Innovative technologies and methodology for teaching translation”, “Modern translation concepts” and “Speech etiquette and negotiation practice in an Eastern language”, which the professor teaches to doctoral and master’s students of the department.

November 21, 2023 at the Department of the Far East, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi KazNU., with the support of the Education Center of the Republic of Korea in Almaty, a quiz “Me and Korea” was held, organized by the professor Lee Byong Jo and students. 
11/27/2023 The “Ambassador Hour” was held at the Department of Middle East and South Asia

On November 23, as part of the partnership for sustainable development of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) project, the “Ambassador Hour” was held at the Department of Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Ali Akbar Jowkar.

On November 20, 2023, in the Al-Farabi Library, at the Kazakh National University, a seminar was held by a visiting foreign professor, PhD Sakurai Tomonobu, on the topic “Sports training based on the scientific characteristics of muscles.”

Students of the 2nd year of KazNU, studying on educational programme "Oriental Studies" under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Middle East and South Asia Department A.K. Akhmetbekova and senior lecturer J.R. Seytmetova on November 17, 2023 in the framework of the UN direction "Planet - rational use of terrestrial ecosystems and water resources, climate change", which is part of the Sustainable Development Goals, held an event entitled "Water is Life".

On November 20, 2023, the “Korean Studies Week” event started at the Department of the Far East (Korean Studies). This event is held regularly every year and is the most notable annual event of the Department.
11/21/2023 An academic workshop was held with the participation of employers

On November 20, 2023, the Department of Chinese Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies held the II city workshop on the problems of simultaneous translation. The main feature of this workshop was that along with teachers, doctoral students and undergraduates of our faculty, Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, the International Academy of Business and the International Kazakh-Chinese Language College, the seminar was also attended by employers from China
