9/25/2018 At the Department of Chinese Studies was held an event called "My language - my strength"

September 25, 2018 Chinese Studies Department of the Oriental Studies Faculty of KazNU organized a large event dedicated to the "Week of Languages" of Kazakhstan. The event consisted of two rounds.
9/25/2018 1-st year students initiation (Department of Japanese Studies)

At the Department of Japanese Studies of the Department of the Far East of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the department celebrates with students first year students. At this event, students from the 1st to 4th year of the Japanese language department, the head of the department and the faculty, as well as students from Japan studying at KazNU participated.
9/22/2018 Tsukuba Global Science Week 2018

Professors of the Far East Department Ninomiya Takashi and Em Natalya participated in the Tsukuba Global Science Week 2018 on the theme of Driving Sustainable Development, which took place in September 20-22, 2018 at the Tsukuba International Congress Center.
9/19/2018 Faculty of Oriental Studies signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of education and science with the Northwest University of Politics and Law of China

September 19, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, KazNU Y.M. Paltre held a friendly meeting with representatives of the Northwest University of Politics and Law of China (西北 政法 大学). The meeting was attended by: Vice-Rector of the North-Western University of Politics and Law, Professor Wang Jian, Dean of the Faculty of International Education, Professor San Yuanfeng, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics, Professor Li Xiaoning, Professor of International Law Liu Ping.

9/18/2018 KazNU named after al-Farabi start the new academic year with japanese partners

One of the priority partners of the Far East Department is the organization of an annual Winter Course by the University of WASEDA, Japan (Waseda University https://www.waseda.jp/top/en, a cooperation agreement from 2009) at the KazNU named after al-Farabi. During this period, there were held an annual international internship exchange programs for graduate and undergraduate students of partner universities. In addition, work is underway by the partner universities to compile educational and reference materials on the Japanese language.

9/17/2018 Meeting with Professor of Hong Kong Polytechnic University

17 September, the director of the Department of Chinese Language and Bilingualism of the Humanities Faculty of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, David Lee, met with the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of al-Farabi KazNU and the staff of the Department of Chinese Studies.

On 14 September, 2018 in the lecture hall number 1, Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi KazNU, was held an annual initiation ceremony of the Division of Korean Studies of Department of the Far East "Meeting between Sonbe and Hube" (a meeting of 1-year students with senior students).

On September 13th at the Oriental Studies’ Faculty of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi the representative of the Japanese Embassy in Kazakhstan gave a lecture on "Japan in the period of high economic growth."
