Fruitful meeting with the rector of the Shahid Beheshti University

On April 17, 2018, a delegation led by rector of Shahid Beheshti University (Iran) Professor Seid Hasan Saduk arrived at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The guests of honor met with the rector of al-Farabi KazNU academician Galymkair Mutanov.

During the bilateral talks, Shahid Beheshti University was invited to take part in the study of the language and culture of the Turkic ethnic groups in Iran within the framework of the Iran-Turan project initiated by al-Farabi KazNU. The Iranian side accepted this proposal positively, expressing a desire to take an active part in this project. The approval of Iranian guests was also aroused by the initiative of G.Mutanov to open the Al-Farabi Center at the Shahid Beheshti University, in connection with which a bilateral agreement on cooperation was signed. In addition, the issue of exchange of students and teachers, the creation of joint training programs was raised and discussed. Following the results of the meeting, an agreement was reached on the establishment of programs to exchange experience and improve the skills of teachers and the exchange of students.

During his speech G.M. Mutanov noted the close cooperation of al-Farabi KazNU with the Iranian cultural center in Almaty, highly appreciated the work of the Center, fulfilling the mission of the cultural bridge between the two countries, and expressed deep gratitude to the Director of the Cultural Center of Iran in Almaty, Mr. Seyd Javad Jalali Kiyasari.

The guests got acquainted with the achievements of the university and visited the campus of KazNU. The rector of the Shahid Beheshti University thanked Galimkair Mutanovich for his hospitality.
