Faculty of Oriental Studies signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of education and science with the Northwest University of Politics and Law of China

September 19, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, KazNU Y.M. Paltre held a friendly meeting with representatives of the Northwest University of Politics and Law of China (西北 政法 大学). The meeting was attended by: Vice-Rector of the North-Western University of Politics and Law, Professor Wang Jian, Dean of the Faculty of International Education, Professor San Yuanfeng, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics, Professor Li Xiaoning, Professor of International Law Liu Ping.
The main issues of the meeting are the scientific and innovative directions of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the general situation of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, achievements and plans for the future of the Department of Sinology. Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Y.M. Paltore said that Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is one of the most developed universities in Kazakhstan, has educational programs, scientific works and high-level entrepreneurship bases. Guests also presented the Northwest University of Politics and Law, located in Xi'an, the historic capital of China. Vice-rector of the North-Western University of Politics and Law, Professor Wang Jian, emphasized the special place of the Faculty of Oriental Studies in the field of training future specialists.
After the meeting with the dean, the guests got acquainted with the teaching staff of the Department of Chinese Studies, visited the Museum of Oriental Studies. They were pleasantly surprised by the rich assortment of Chinese culture presented in the Museum and noted that for students this is an irreplaceable place that helps in studying Chinese culture.
The main objective of the meeting was to strengthen cooperation between universities and the exchange of experience. In the future, it was suggested that a number of joint activities be carried out to expand cooperation between the two universities. Within the framework of the meeting, Professor Muhamedkhanuly Nabizhan was invited to lecture at the North-Western University of Politics and Law.
As a result of the meeting, a memorandum on cooperation in the field of education and science was signed.
