On October 3, Department of Indian Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an event dedicated to the birthday of the great political figure, "Father of the Nation" of India Mahatma.

On October 3, Department of Indian Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an event dedicated to the birthday of the great political figure, "Father of the Nation" of India Mahatma.

The program of the event was attended by students of 1,2,3 courses, master students, PhD students of Indian studies Department. It began with the performance of the hymns of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of India. 1-year students sang songs, told poems in Hindi, performed bollywood dance, furnished a presentation. The event was held at the highest level. Second Secretary, Consul of the Indian Representative office in Almaty Mr. Martin Cyriac Clemens J.B. took part in the event and gave welcomed speech.
