On October 15, at the Department of Middle East and South Asia, the Iranian Studies Department organized an evening of getting acquainted with first-year students. This event has become traditional at the Iranian Studies Department. This year's event was attended by teachers, students and undergraduates of the Iranian Studies Department. Firstly, students of 2-4th years introduced themselves at the meeting, told about their interests and hobbies. After that, a 3rd year student, Zhenis Aruzhan, described in detail her one-year trip to a language internship at the Ali Akbar Dehod International Center for Persian. Also freshmen were shown a video shot in Iran with sights of Iranian cities such as Tehran, Shiraz, Isfahan. Then, teachers of the department and senior students told about the rules and everyday life of the department of the Middle East and South Asia, and also shared with them useful tips. Pleasant conversation continued in a cozy atmosphere at the tea party. At the end of the meeting, the 1st year students expressed gratitude and were pleased with the warm welcome from senior students.
