The Chinese New Year Chunjie

The Chinese New Year Chunjie was organized and conducted by the Department of Chinese Studies. In China, the Spring Festival is celebrated for two weeks, in our department it lasted a week. Within the framework of the holiday, the teachers of the department held master classes on the art of cutting flowers from paper and calligraphy, which are traditionally Chinese crafts. During the week, there were screenings of documentaries and feature films about the Chinese New Year, which enriched the knowledge of the Chinese culture of students learning Chinese. The chain of festive events ended with the Chinese New Year concert program. The guests of the evening were students of the University of the Army of Almaty city and students of the specialized school for talented children "Daryn". The concert was followed by the "Festival of Chinese Cuisine", followed by concerts of students of 1-4 courses. At the end of the event, an excursion to the “Museum of the East” was arranged for the guests.
