On September 28, 2019, at 15:00, an event was held at the faculty dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 10th anniversary of the Confucius Institute at Kazakh National University. al-Farabi, organized by the teaching staff and students of the Department of Sinology.
The guests were Consul General of China Gen Lipin, First Vice-Rector of KazNU Burkitbaev Mukhambetkali and Director of the Department of Public Relations Duisebaev Dauren, Dean of the Faculty Paltre Yutiyar Moldatyrely, Head. Farida Orazakynkyzy, director of the Confucius Institute, Asylbekov Rangimzhan, as well as other honored guests, as well as the Chair of Sinology.

The key issue of the event was the ceremony of awarding a medal and a monument to the Consulate General of China and the Confucius Institute on behalf of the Kazakh National University Administration.
